BRONX, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's and men's basketball teams will conclude the regular season, by traveling to the College of Staten Island to battle the Dolphins, in a critical CUNY Athletic Conference doubleheader. The women's game will begin at 5:30 p.m., while the men are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
If the Lightning women's team wins tonight's matchup, they will move into a tie with the College of Staten Island for third place in the CUNYAC standings. Since both teams would be even in all of the tiebreaking scenarios, a coin toss would determine who enters the CUNYAC Championships as the third seed. If the Lightning loses tonight's matchup, they will be locked in as the number four seed.
Eric Harrison has 252 career victories as the head coach at Lehman College. If he wins tonight, he will be tied for first place on the all-time CUNYAC coaches' wins list.
If the men's team is able to win tonight, they will enter the CUNYAC Championships as the number two seed. If Lehman loses and Brooklyn falls to Baruch, Lehman will finish in third place. If Lehman does not win and Brooklyn does, the Lightning will enter the postseason as the fourth seed.
Both the Lehman women's and men's teams have clinched home court advantage for the Quarterfinals of the CUNYAC Championships, which will take place this weekend. The women's game will be played on Saturday, at 1:00 p.m., while the men will play on Sunday, also at 1:00 p.m. The opponents are to be determined.
As for tonight's games, CSI will be providing live streaming video of both games.
