BRONX, N.Y. – It is an action-packed weekend in Lehman College athletics, as six Lightning teams will be in action.

On Friday, the baseball team will host St. Joseph's College of Brooklyn in a non-conference doubleheader. The first pitch of the opening game will be thrown at 3:00 p.m. The second game will begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first.



Also on Friday will be the men's tennis home opener, as the Lightning will battle the Hawks of Hunter College, on the APEX tennis courts, beginning at 3:00 p.m. That same day, the men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will open the 2015 season, at the Danny Curran Invitational, in Chester, Pa.

On Saturday, the softball team will host Brooklyn College in the first CUNY Athletic Conference doubleheader of the year. Game one will start at 11:00 a.m., while the second end will begin shortly after the first one is finished.


The men's volleyball team will also be in action on Saturday, as the Lightning will compete in the CUNYAC Multi- Match. Lehman will face the College of Staten Island at 9:00 a.m., then take on Medgar Evers College beginning at 1:00 p.m.
