BRONX, N.Y. – Wednesday is a busy game night, as the Lehman College men's basketball and men's volleyball teams will be in action.
The men's basketball team has been invited to participate in the ECAC Division III Metro Championships, and will host the College of Staten Island, at 7:00 p.m. The Lightning are the tournament's #4 seed, while CSI is #5.
This is the program's first ECAC appearance since 2009, when the Lightning won the Metro Region Championship.
This year's eight team bracket features four CUNY Athletic Conference schools. In addition to Lehman and CSI, Brooklyn College is the #1 seed, and York is the #7. Filling out the bracket are Rutgers-Newark at #2, NYU at #3, Rutgers-Camden at #6, and Centenary at #8.
The Lightning and Dolphins have already met twice this season, with Lehman claiming both victories. On January 9, in the APEX, Lehman won 95-73 before winning at CSI on February 17, 81-64.

The men's volleyball team will travel to John Jay College to battle the Bloodhounds, in a key CUNY Athletic Conference match, beginning at 6:00 p.m. John Jay will have
live streaming video of the contest.

Lehman and John Jay come into tonight's matchup tied for fourth in the latest CUNYAC standings, with 4-3 records in conference play. The teams that finish the regular season in the top four will have home-court advantage in the CUNY Athletic Conference Quarterfinals.
The Lightning will be led by freshman
Roberto Ventura Diaz (New York, N.Y./Cardenal Sancha), who was just named the CUNYAC Rookie of the Week for the second time this season. He was also named the Corvias ECAC Rookie of the Week.
