Basketball Returns to the APEX

Bronx, NY - The last time both the Lehman men and women played a double header basketball contests in the APEX was during the 9^th Annual Coaches vs Cancer. Tonight the Hawks of Hunter College invade the APEX with upsets on their mind.

The Lehman women come into tonight's' contest with a mark of 9-6 overall and 4-2 in conference play. In their last outing despite 19 points by Amely Del Rosario Lehman fell to conference foe Baruch. Del Rosario along with Jennifer Navarro lead the Lightning. The duo accounts for more than half of the offensive output. Amani Lightbourne and Karrin Walker are also chipping in 13 points a night for Lehman.

The Lady Hawks have struggled a bit this season and come into the game with a record of 6-9 overall and 3-4 in CUNYAC. Widly Couloute and Jade Aponte are both averaging double figures.

The Lehman men are fresh off a 79-72 victory over Baruch. Olando Minott netted 18 points to pace the Lightning. He was one of five players in double figures. Chaun Miller added 16, John Brens and Edwin Pascual tallied 12 apiece while Andrew Utate came off the bench to score10 points. Lehman sits atop the CUNYAC standing with a conference mark of 6-1. The Lightning are 11-4 overall.

The Hawks (1-15:1-6) are looking for their second win of the season. In their last outing they fell to Brooklyn 96-89. In that game Matt Franks and Alex Mattina combined for half of their points.
