Jennifer Navarro continues her stellar play netting 25 points including five three-pointers.
Amely Del Rosario and
Amani Lightbourne are also averaging double for the Lightning. Lehman enters the game with an overall mark of 8-5 and 3-1 in conference play.
CSI is also 8-5 on the season and sports a 4-1 record in the CUNYAC. The Dolphins downed CCNY in their last outing 69-57. Christina Pasaturo and Samantha Flecker lead the Dolphins. The duo average a combined 33 points per contest and 14 rebounds per game.
Both teams are chasing Brooklyn College in the standings. The Bulldogs are a perfect 6-0 in conference play.
The Lehman men put their unblemished conference mark of 5-0 on the line Saturday afternoon at CSI. Last Sunday the Lightning downed CCNY 70-69 thanks in part to a John Bren's free throw in the waning seconds of the game. But it was
Chaun Miller and
Niv Solomon who carried the load as each recorded a double double. Miller netted 20 points while grabbing 11 rebounds. Solomon also scored 20 and recorded 12 rebounds. Other key contributors for the Lightning include
Olando Minott and
Andrew Utate. Minott is averaging just over 16 points per game while Utate is chipping in just over 10 points per contest. The Lightning stand at 10-3 overall.
The College of Staten Island comes into the contest with a mark of 9-4 overall and 3-2 in the conference. In their last outing, the Dolphins stepped out of league play and defeated FDU – Florham 85-61 to snap a two game skid. A trio of Dolphins is averaging double figures. Will Fonseca is scoring 23 points per game and ranks second in the conference.
