Gabe Lorenzo Talks with Coach Steve Schulman as he prepares for Farmingdale
Bronx, NY – Tonight is the home opener for the Lightning. Lehman looks to improve upon its 1-2 mark as they host Farmingdale at 7:00 pm in the APEX. The Lightning fell to Maritime on opening last week. This past weekend, Lehman defeated Johnson State (VT) and fell to Vassar at the Vassar College tip-off tournament.
Through the first three games, Lehman has five players averaging double figures. Junior
Andrew Utate leads the way, averaging more than 15 points per contest.
John Brens is chipping in 12.7 points per game while
Mylo Mitchell is coming off the bench to average 12.3 points per night.
Damian Bellamy and
Edwin Pascual are adding 10.7 and 10.0 points per game respectively.
The Rams split their two games, falling to Rowan in the season opener 89-87 and defeating Medgar Evers 87-79 at the Widener Tip-off Tournament. Farmingdale is being led by George Riefenstahl. The Long Island big man is averaging 17.5 points and 16 rebounds per game. Matthew Graham, Liam Monaghan and Ali Mableton are all averaging double figures.
