Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's and women's basketball teams return home for the first time in a week for a tough CUNYAC doubleheader against the College of Staten Island Friday night at the APEX Center.
Lehman's women's team (3-3, 2-1 CUNYAC) is coming off a tough 56-53 loss to Brooklyn College Tuesday night for their first conference loss of the season. They are looking to keep pace in the conference standings with their third CUNYAC win.
Amely Del Rosario continues to lead the CUNYAC and all of NCAA Division III with a 28.0 points-per-game average.
Lynda Fields (18.5 ppg) and
Krystal Pearson (14.5 ppg) also rank fourth and ninth in the conference, while
Shakia Artist is the top rebounder with 10.2 boards per contest (second in CUNYAC).
CSI (5-2, 3-0 CUNYAC) is currently playing great basketball and is looking for their fourth straight victory of the season. They have beaten John Jay, York and then CCNY in the last week to reside in first place with a 3-0 conference record.
Christina Pasaturo posts a team-best scoring average of 17.4 points per game, which ranks seventh in the conference and is third with 4.3 assists. She is the top shooter from beyond the arc, hitting 38.5% of her threes. Angelique Price ranks tenth with 14.4 ppg and is second in the CUNYAC with a 46.7% field goal percentage.

The men's team (4-3, 2-1 CUNYAC) is seeking their third straight conference win, previously beating CUNYAC foes John Jay and Brooklyn College. In their 97-83 win over the Bulldogs Tuesday, six players scored in double figures including
Mylo Mitchell coming off the bench with 26 points including six three-pointers.
Lehman is led on the offensive end by
Andrew Utate, who averages 16.1 points per game which is good for seventh in the conference and is also in first place in assist/turnover ratio with 4.3 assist per turnover. Point guard
John Brens is second with 6.7 assists per game and in the top-10 with 2.0 steals per game.
They will facing a Dolphins team that is tied for first in conference play (4-4, 3-0 CUNYAC) and is going for their third straight win, earning victories over York and CCNY. CSI has a balanced attack with four players averaging in double figures, including Frank Schettino who tops the team and is in the CUNYAC top-10 with 15.5 points per contest to go with a conference-best 7.4 assists.
