Box Score Bronx, NY - The Lightning (3-7:2-4) suffered a tough five set heart breaker falling to Brooklyn (3-7/2-4)  3-2.  Lehman won the first two sets 25-23 and 25-21 but then the wheels fell off as the Bulldogs won the final three sets to earn a 3-2 victory.  
For the Lightning 
Orlando Vargas and 
Ramon Jimenez combined for 37 kills.  
Emmanuel Ortiz recorded a season high 51 assists and 18 digs. 
Titus Vaughn led the Bulldogs with 17 kills.   
In the first set the Lightning took the lead at 6-5 off of a Brooklyn serving error and were able to hold off the Bulldogs for a 25-23 victory.  In the second set with the score tied at 20 
Luis Roman recorded back to back kills to give the Lightning the advantage that they would not surrender; as they went on to win 25-21.  In the third and fourth sets the Bulldogs jumped out to a 6-1 and never looked back cruising to victory.  With all the momentum with the Bulldogs then went on to win the fifth and deciding set 15-11.
The Lightning are back in action again on Friday night as they host Purchase at 8:00 PM in the APEX.
