Box Score BRONX, NY --- The Lehman College men's volleyball team lost in five sets to visiting Purchase College on Friday night at the APEX Gymnasium in the Bronx. Set scores were 26-24, 22-25, 23-25, 25-15, 15-10.
The Lightning of Lehman (3-8) were led by junior
Orlando Vargas with 22 kills and 22 digs. Senior
Ramon Jimenez finished with 18 kills, while sophomore
Emmanuel Ortiz posted 50 set assists with nine digs. Freshman libero
John Mark Flores added 13 digs.
Junior Kevin Carges led the Panthers of Purchase (5-7) with 24 kills, 16 digs, four block assists and three service aces.
The Lightning are back on the court on Sunday when they travel to Riverdale, New York to compete in the College of Mount Saint Vincent Tri-Match against the host Dolphins and New Jersey City University.
