NEW YORK, NY --- The Lehman College men's volleyball team split their first two CUNYAC matches of the season in a Multi-Match hosted by Baruch College on Saturday in the ARC Arena. The Lightning swept the Cardinals of York College, 25-20, 25-16, 25-21, before falling short against the Bulldogs of Brooklyn, 16-25, 27-29, 25-17, 17-25. Lehman is now 2-4 overall and 1-1 against conference opponents.
 
Orlando Vargas exploded for 31 kills over seven sets, with eight service aces and 16 digs. As of press time, Vargas leads the entire conference in kills, kills per set and attack percentage. Nam Ho finished with 20 digs in four sets while Emmanuel Ortiz set the table for the offense with 35 set assists, while also serving up nine aces.
 
Lehman will be back on the court when they travel to the College of Staten Island on Wednesday nightto face the Dolphins in a 7:00 p.m. match.
