Box Score Brooklyn, NY - The Lehman men's volleyball prevailed in four sets to defeat the Cougars of Medgar Evers 3-1. The Lightning dropped the first set 25-20 but rallied to win three straight 25-14, 25-10, 25-19. With the victory the Lightning snap a three game skid and now stands at 5-17:3-10. The Cougars fall to 2-21:0-14.
Orlando Vargas led Lehman with 17 kills on 42 attacks.
Ramon Jimenez added 14 kills on 34 attacks.
Emmanuel Ortiz was credited with 33 assists. Jose Baptista led the Lightning with 10 digs.
Jamal Chance led the Cougars with 12 kills.
Both teams will meet again on Saturday at York College. The Lightning will also take on Staten Island in the final multi-match of the season.
