Bronx, NY – The Lehman College men's and women's basketball teams will travel to Manhattan tonight to take on the Baruch College Bearcats in a pair of key CUNYAC contests. The women's games tips at 5:30 from the ARC on the Baruch campus with the men's game to follow.
The Bearcat women are coming off a strong showing at Staten Island where they defeated the Dolphins 77-71 to move to 4-0 in conference play and 5-6 overall. Leading scorer Veronica Ganzi led the way with 28 points on the season she is averaging 21 points per game. The Bearcat starting five accounts for 98% of the teams scoring as all of the starters are averaging double figures.
Earlier this week the Lehman women handily defeated York 74-45.
Lynda Fields netted a team high 25 points while
Amely Del Rosario and
Krystal Pearson each recorded a double double. Del Rosario scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Pearson tallied 10 points and brought down 14 rebounds. Lehman comes into the contest with a record of 5-7 overall and 3-2 in conference play.

The Lehman men also had a strong performance on Wednesday night downing York 69-59.
Mylo Mitchell paced the Lightning with a career high 30 points as Lehman improved to 6-6:3-2. Mitchell scored the Lightning's final nine points including a pair of foul shots with7:15 to play that tied the game at 53.
John Brens kept the Lightning in the game in the first half as he scored 12 of his 14 points during the first 20 minutes.
The Baruch men dropped a 77-68 decision at Staten Island during the week despite a double double from center Chimaechi Ekekeugbor (27 points, 12 rebounds). With the loss the Bearcats move to 9-3 overall and 3-1 in CUNYAC. On the season, Ekekeugbor's 18 points per game leads Baruch in scoring. Doyin Isaac is averaging 14 points per night.
