Pregame interview with Coach Schulman
Bronx, NY - The Lehman College basketball teams travel to Staten Island for a basketball doubleheader tonight beginning at 5:00 pm. The women will battle first at 5:30 pm with the men's game to follow. The Lightning men's volleyball team will play host to St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) at7:00 pm.
Tonight's women's game will go a long way in determining seeding's in the upcoming CUNYAC Tournament. Currently the Dolphins (13-2) are a half-game ahead of the Lightning (12-2). Brooklyn is tied with Lehman at 12-2. This is the final conference game of the season for the Dolphins while Lehman will travel to Hunter on Monday night. Brooklyn will host John Jay tonight and travel to York on Monday night. Due to tie-breakers the Lightning cannot get the number one seed. Earlier this season, CSI defeated Lehman 85-75 in the APEX.
Amely Del Rosario paced the Lightning with 27 points while
Lynda Fields added 26.
Krystal Pearson posted a double double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. The Dolphins were led by Christina Pasaturo and Samantha Flecker. Pasaturo tallied 24 points while grabbing 11 rebounds. Flecker added 20 points.

The Lightning (15-8:10-4) men seek revenge for an early season loss to the Dolphins. In early December CSI defeated Lehman 84-71.
Andrew Utate led five players in double figures with 20 but it was not enough. CSI's Frank Schettino led all players with 27. The Dolphins (18-6:15-0) have sown up the number one in the upcoming CUNAYC Tournament. Lehman with two conference games remaining can still finish, second third or fourth heading to the post season tournament.
Damian Bellamy leads the Lightning attack with 13.8 points and 8.8 rebounds per night. Utate and
Mylo Mitchell are also averaging double figures at 13.4 and 11 points per game. Schettino is averaging 17.9 points per game and ranks third in the CUNYAC. Lehman and CSI are the top two scoring teams in the conference.

The Lehman men's volleyball team will host St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) at 7:00 PM in the APEX. Lehman stands at 2-6 while the Bears of St. Joseph's (0-8) are still looking for their first win of the season. In their most recent outing the Lightning suffered a four set defeat at Purchase. On Wednesday night the Bears dropped a straight set decision to Brooklyn.
