The Lehman (15-9:10-5) men are coming off a hard fought defeat at Staten Island. The Lightning fell 78-76. Lehman had a chance to send the game to overtime, after battling back from a 15 point deficit, only to see a put-back miss the mark as the final buzzer sounded. A Lehman victory tonight will give the Lightning the third seed in the upcoming CUNYAC post-season tournament. A loss coupled with a Baruch win against John Jay would drop Lehman into the fourth hole. Either way the Lightning will be hosting a quarter-final play-off game on Sunday afternoon against an opponent that will be determined.
Hunter (8-16:6-9) has dropped their last three games. The Hawks have three players averaging double figures. Amer Lukac leads the way with a 15.6 points per game average. He is followed closely behind by Matt Franks and Gio Gibbidon.
Earlier this year, The Lightning defeated the Hawks 79-57.
Luis Hernandez came off the bench to spark with Lehman with 17 points.
Jean Marcial and
Mylo Mitchell added 16 and 11 points respectively. The Lightning jumped out to a 20 point lead at the half and kept the Hawks at bay during the final 20 minutes.
