Box Score New York, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's volleyball went on the road and earned a straight-set victory over non-conference Yeshiva, 3-0 [25-17, 25-19, 25-16], Sunday afternoon.
With the win, the Lightning (4-6) have won two straight and three of their last four matches.
Roberto Ventura Diaz led the team with 12 kills along with six digs and two service aces.
Emmanuel Ortiz led the squad in aces (four), assists (19) and also earned a block. Also,
Yordy Diaz slammed 10 kills to go along with an ace and assist.
George Montilla dished out 15 assists and seven kills in the victory.
Jonathan Greenberg paced the Maccabees (0-3) in a losing effort, compiling a team-best six kills.
Lehman played very aggressive throughout the game, totaling 37 kills in the three sets played. They finished with a .216 hitting percentage, while also adding 37 assists and seven service aces in the match.
The Lightning return to action tomorrow afternoon for their first conference matchups of the season as part of a CUNYAC tri-match. They will look to extend their winning streak when they face John Jay College at 12:00 p.m. and host Baruch College at 2:00 p.m. Live stats and video will be available on Baruch's website.
