Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's volleyball team look to continue their winning ways this week when they travel to Baruch for a CUNYAC tri-match against both John Jay and host Baruch College Monday afternoon.
The Lightning (4-6) will kick off their conference portion of the 2017 schedule with matchups against both the Bearcats and Bloodhounds. They are coming off a victory Sunday against nonconference opponent Yeshiva.
Offensively, they are led by
Roberto Ventura Diaz who is second in the CUNYAC with 91 total kills. Yordy Perez is tied for third in the conference with 77 kills, while
Yaw Eshun is the conference's top blocker with 24 total and nine solo blocks.
John Jay (4-6) are coming off two straight losses in a tri-match Saturday against Elms College and MIT. This is also their first CUNYAC matchups of the season. The Bearcats (1-8) have faced some tough competition so far, going against top-seeded Springfield, #9 New York University and most recently #4 New Paltz Wednesday.
Lehman will first face off with John Jay Monday at 12:00 p.m. then will take on Baruch immediately afterwards at 2:00 p.m. on the campus of Baruch College. Live stats and streaming video will be made available through Baruch's website.
