Box Score Brooklyn, N.Y. -- The Lehman College men's volleyball team erupted to start the match and never looked back as they defeated Medgar Evers in straight sets, 3-0 [25-5, 25-7, 25-8], Thursday night in a non-CUNYAC matchup at the Cougars Cave.

With the win, the Lightning (6-7) have now won four of their last five matchups after a slow start to the 2017 campaign.

Yordy Diaz slammed a game-high 10 kills while adding two service aces and four digs. Yaw Eshun chipped in with four kills and four aces, while Emmanuel Ortiz dished out game-bests in both aces (15) and assists (24) in the victory.

Ronald Bonhomme and Kevin Marseille each drilled two kills for the Cougars (0-8) in a losing effort.

Lehman took advantage of their prowess on the service end, totaling 27 service aces in the three sets. They also finished with 30 kills and completed the game with a .436 hitting percentage including .647 in the first-set win.

This was the team's final matchup in February, and now have more of week until their next game. They will return to action March 4th against Sage College at home. First serve is set for 3:00 p.m. at the APEX main gym. Streaming video and live stats will be made available on LehmanAthletics.com.
