Bronx, N.Y. – Both Lehman College basketball teams will be in action this Friday as each compete in non-conference tournaments with men's side traveling north to UMass Dartmouth, while the women head to Stockton University.

The Lightning men will be looking for their first victory of the 2018-19 season as they take on Mitchell College in opening game of the Lafrance Hospitality Tournament on Friday at 5 pm.  

Lehman has a 0-1 record, while Mitchell is commencing its season. The four-team tournament on Friday will also feature UMass Dartmouth hosting Clark University in the nightcap.  Friday's two winners will meet on Saturday for the championship, which will be preceded by tournament's consolation game.

Lightning-Mariners are facing off for the first time since January 21, 2008 with Lehman posting an 84-66 victory at home. Fans can also follow all the men's basketball action at the Lafrance Hospitality Tournament via live stats and live stream.




Meanwhile, the Lightning women, who are also searching for their first win of campaign, square off against hosts Ospreys in the Stockton Tip-Off Tournament at The Sports Center in Galloway, N.J. at 6 pm.  Both Lehman and Stockton are 0-1 this season.

The winner of Lightning-Ospreys encounter will face the victor of the other tournament match-up between Penn State-Abington vs. Catholic University on Saturday.

The previous meeting between Lehman-Stockton took place on Nov. 19, 2010 with Ospreys winning 77-55 in Allentown, Pa.  Fans can also follow all the women's basketball action at the Stockton Tip-Off Tournament via live stats and live stream.
