Box Score Jamaica, N.Y. – For the second time this week, the Lehman College men's basketball team won a CUNYAC encounter after it topped hosts York College-NY, 76-62, on Friday evening at York College Gym. The Lightning improve to 4-3 overall ledger and 2-1 in CUNYAC, while the Cardinals drop to 3-6 record and remain winless, 0-3, in conference play.
Lehman led since the opening tip-off and jumped out to 49-26 advantage at the intermission after limiting York to just 25 percent shooting from the field. In the second half, the Lightning continued and led by as many as 22 in their way to their sixth victory in the last eight meetings against the Cardinals.
Guard
Jaquan Strong led all the scoring for Lehman with 16 points, while forward
Miguel Haboosh had 14 points with eight rebounds. Also scoring 14 points for the Lightning was point-guard
Will Feldman, while forward
Isaiah Geathers posted his second career double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Lehman will look to continue its winning streak this weekend when it visits Sarah Lawrence College in a non-conference match-up on Sunday in Bronxville, N.Y. at 1 pm.
