Four Lightning Squads In Action On Saturday

Bronx, N.Y. – Four Lehman College athletic teams will see action this Saturday as both (men's & women's) basketball and swimming squads will be on the road.

Men's Basketball Visits St. Joseph's-NY
The Lightning (1-2) will look for their second consecutive win when they visit the Bears of St. Joseph's College-NY (1-1) in a non-conference match-up on Saturday at The Hill Center in Brooklyn with tip-off set for 1 pm.  Fans can also follow all the action online via live stats and live stream:

Lehman is coming off an 87-84 overtime win in its home opener against non-conference opponent Keystone College on Wednesday.  Guard Gian Batista led the Lightning with a career-high 27 points, while grabbing nine rebounds.  Meanwhile, St. Joseph's-NY posted a 93-81 victory against Cabrini University in consolation game of Stockton Tip-Off Tournament at Galloway, N.J. over the weekend.

Lehman has a 4-3 head-to-head record against St. Joseph's-NY since 2005, however the Bears have won the last three meetings.  The previous encounter between the two sides took place on February 4, 2019, at The APEX Main Gym with St. Joseph's-NY posting an 83-78 victory.  Forward Isaiah Geathers had a 'double-double' with 25 points and 10 rebounds for the Lightning.

Swimming & Diving Head To Western Connecticut State
The Lightning head to Danbury, Conn. for a non-conference dual meet against Western Connecticut State on Saturday with the first race set for 1 pm.   

Lehman men (2-0) will look to stay unbeaten against winless Colonials (0-3) as the last time both sides squared off was on November 17, 2018, at The APEX Pool, with Lightning winning 154-109,
 
Lehman is coming off a 148-92 victory against non-conference opponent Purchase College last Monday.  Anton Kyrylenko led the way for Lightning claiming first-place in 50 Breaststroke (30.54), 200 IM (2:25.39) and 100 Breaststroke (1:10.28), while also being part of the winning 200 medley relay team (1:56.58).

Meanwhile, the Lehman women (2-1) last met the Colonials (2-2) on Nov. 17, 2018, with the visitors posting a 119-48 victory.  The Lightning are coming off a 149-89 win over hosts Purchase on last Monday.  Sarina Eshtiaghi led Lehman as she claimed the top spot in the 50 Backstroke (30.58), 200 Freestyle (2:10.02), 100 Backstroke (1:11.21) and was on winning side in the 200 Freestyle Relay (2:05.02).
  
Women's Hoopsters Compete At Penn State Harrisburg Tourney
The Lightning (0-2) will aim for their first win of the campaign when they travel to Middletown, Pa. to take on the hosts, Penn State Harrisburg (0-2), at the Pride, Spirit, Honor. Tournament on Saturday at 4 pm.  Fans can also follow all the action online via live stats and live stream:

Lehman is coming off a 53-35 loss to Wesley College at consolation game of Hyatt Place Tip-Off Tournament in Fredericksburg, Va. last weekend.  Center Nina Gill scored 12 points, with seven rebounds and six blocks for the Lightning.  Meanwhile, the Lions dropped an 83-57 non-conference decision at Swarthmore College last Saturday.  This is the first ever meeting between the Lightning-Lions.
