Bronx, NY - The Lehman College men's and women's basketball team will host the Cardinals of York College this evening in a doubleheader beginning at 5:30 PM.

The women will take the court first as the Lightning (0-6:0-1) are looking for their first victory of the season. The Cardinals enter tonight's CUNYAC contest with a mark of 1-4:0-1. Both teams dropped league games on Tuesday with Lehman falling to John Jay and York bowing to Brooklyn. The Lightning have been led by
Nina Gill in the early part of the 2019—20 season. The transfer from Monroe in averaging 13.2 points and 7.7 rebounds per contest.Â
Shanya Gonzalez and Fatomata Trawelleh are also averaging double figures for the Lightning. The only player averaging double figures for the Cardinals is six foot sophomore center Mac-Dege Dessources.

The men's game will tip-off at approximately 7:30 PM. The Lehman men enter tonight's game with an overall record of 1-5 and 0-1 in CUNYAC play.Â
Gian Batista and
Isaiah Geathers lead the Lightning squad in scoring averaging 16.8 and 16.7 points respectively. They are both averaging more than six rebounds per game as well.Â
Alex Hanson, a transfer from Ulster CC leads the Lightning in rebounding. York enters tonight's contest with a mark of 2-4 overall and 0-1 in conference play. Their victories came over Maritime and Clarks Summit. Each team has played Keystone College. The Lightning came away with a 87-84 OT victory while the Cardinals fell in OT 102-99.Â
