Bronx, N.Y. – Two Lehman College athletic teams will be in road action on Thursday as softball squad travels to take on New Jersey City University (NJCU) at Jersey City's Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex in a non-conference doubleheader starting at 4 pm, while men's volleyball side visits CCNY in a CUNYAC match-up at Manhattan's Nat Holman Gymnasium on Thursday at 7 pm.
The Lightning softball have a 3-9 mark this season, while the Gothic Knights are 2-12 this year.
Lehman is coming off a non-conference doubleheader sweep (12-0, 19-6) of visiting Yeshiva University on Tuesday at South Field.
Tiffany Adames drove in two runs in the opener, while
Diamond Villegas pitched a three-hit shutout with 11 strike outs. In the nightcap, Adames had a homerun and five RBI, while also picking up the win on the mound.
Meanwhile, NJCU is coming off a 6-3 win over visiting John Jay College on Monday. The encounter was called after six innings due to darkness.

Also in action on Thursday, the Lightning volleyballers, who hold a 3-17 overall record and 0-5 in CUNYAC, face the Beavers, whom have a 12-4 ledger and 3-2 in conference play.

George Montilla has a double-double for the Lightning with 15 kills and 18 digs. Meanwhile, CCNY won its seventh consecutive match as it topped hosts Medgar Evers College in a thrilling five sets, 3-2 (25-23, 25-17, 22-25, 23-25, 15-11), in Brooklyn on Tuesday.
