Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's volleyball team will have its first home match of the season when it takes on non-conference rival College of Mount St. Vincent at The APEX Main Gym with first serve set for 6 pm. The Lightning are currently 0-2, while the Dolphins are playing their season opener.

Lehman commenced its campaign over the weekend, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., dropping a pair of non-conference matches against College of St. Elizabeth and hosts King's College-PA.
In the opener against St. Elizabeth, the Lightning fell in three straight sets (25-14, 25-16, 25-22) as
Peter Veljovic had eight kills along with seven digs, while
Amari Blake added five kills with four digs and two blocks. In the nightcap against King's-PA, Lehman dropped consecutive sets by scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-8. Veljovic notched 10 kills with seven digs, while
Mentor Mahmuti and
Dyvon Webb added five kills each for Lehman.
The head-to-head series between the two sides are tied at nine victories apiece since 2007, however Mount St. Vincent has won the last four encounters against Lehman. The previous match-up took place on March 16, 2019, at Peter Jay Sharp Center in Riverdale, N.Y., with hosts Dolphins winning in three sets (25-13, 25-14, 26-24).
Miguel Gonzalez saw action for the Lightning as he had a pair of kills with four digs.
