Bronx, N.Y. – Four Lehman College athletics teams will see action on Saturday as the both (men's, women's) basketball sides hosts Medgar Evers in CUNYAC twin-bill during "Homecoming Weekend," while (men's, women's) indoor track and field squads travel to the Keystone state to compete at Collegeville Classic.
Lehman's track and field stars will be making their first of two trips within a three-week span to Collegeville, Pa. as they participate in the meet hosted by Ursinus College.
The Lightning are coming off a strong performance at the Greater Boston Track Club (GBTC) Invitational at the campus of Harvard University last Sunday, where
Deandre McKenzie won the Weight Throw event (13.77m), while
Stephen Matthews finished fifth in the Long Jump (6.26m) as both were also named CUNYAC Field Performer and Rookie of the Week, respectively.
On the women's side,
Glory Odeh paced the way for the Lightning at GBTC Invitational, as she claimed fourth place in the 600 Meter Run (1:43.15), while
Victory Ike took sixth in the 300 Meter Dash at a time of 44.45 and
Rene Clever captured sixth position (9.22m) in Weight Throw.
Also this Saturday it is "Homecoming" at The APEX Main Gym where a doubleheader between the Lightning-Cougars takes place with the women's sides facing off at noon, while the men's teams meet at 3 pm.

The Lightning women (1-16; 1-6 CUNYAC) are coming off a 65-56 conference loss on the road to CCNY at Nat Holman Gymnasium on Wednesday. Forward
Nina Gill notched 27 points, eight rebounds, four steals and two blocks for Lehman, while guard
Fatomata Trawalleh added 16 points and eight boards. Meanwhile, also this past Wednesday, the Cougars (2-12; 0-7 CUNYAC) dropped a 97-43 conference encounter to visiting Hunter College.
Lehman has won 16 of 17 head-to-head encounters against Medgar Evers since 2011. The previous encounter between the two sides took place earlier this month (January 4
th) as the Lightning posted a 76-71 road victory at Cougars Ave in Brooklyn, N.Y. Gill scored a career-high 46 points, while Trawalleh added 18 points and
Valeria Rojas Alingue grabbed a Lehman-best 23 rebounds.
Rounding out Saturday's "Homecoming" action as Lightning men (10-7; 5-2 CUNYAC) aim for their third consecutive victory and ninth in their last 11 games when they battle the Cougars (5-12; 2-5 CUNYAC).

Isaiah Geathers led the way with his fourth 'double-double' of the season scoring 21 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Guard
Gian Batista added 16 points, while teammate
Tommy Batista had 15 points for the Lightning.
Lehman holds a 12-7 overall head-to-head record against Medgar Evers since 2011. The last time both squads met was three weeks ago (Jan. 4
th) as the Lightning posted a 95-85 win at Cougars Cave. Geathers led the way for Lehman with 29 points, while
Gian Batista scored 21 and
Tommy Batista had 12 points.
