Bronx, N.Y. – Three Lehman College athletic teams will be in non-conference action on Saturday as the men's basketball squad visits St. Joseph's College-NY, while both (men's and women's) swimming and diving sides hosts Western Connecticut State.
The Lightning swimmers will stage their second consecutive meet of the season at The APEX Pool starting at 12 pm ET.
The Lehman men (0-1) face WestConn (0-1-1) for the third time since 2018 with each side winning a meet. The previous encounter went to WestConn as it posted a 138-123 victory at the William A. O'Neill Center in Danbury, Conn. on November 23, 2019.
Meanwhile, the Lightning women (1-1) square off against WestConn (0-3) looking for its first triumph after dropping the last two meetings since 2018. In the last match-up on Nov. 23, 2019, Lehman dropped a 147-98 decision to hosts WestConn.
Elsewhere on Saturday, the Lehman men's hoopsters (2-1) continue its road swing this season when it takes on Bears of St. Joseph's-NY (0-3) at The Hill Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. with tip-off set for 3 pm ET.
The Lightning are coming off a second-place finished at the University of Southern Maine-Presque Isle Tip-Off Tournament over the weekend. Meanwhile, the Bears dropped 94-57 home-encounter to conference rival Yeshiva University on Thursday.
St. Joseph's-NY has won the last three outings against Lehman since 2012. The previous encounter took place on Nov. 23, 2019 at The Hill Center with hosts winning 77-58.
