Box Score Newburgh, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's basketball team opened its '21-'22 season with a 75-68 victory against hosts Mount St. Mary's College-NY, in a non-conference match-up, on Tuesday evening at the Kaplan Center. The Lightning go to 1-0 record, while the Knights fall to 0-1.
After both teams struggled from the field in first half (Lehman 37%, Mount St. Mary's-NY 39%) the score was tied at 33-33 going into the intermission.
The Lightning struck back on the Knights in the second half as they shot 47% from the field including five for nine from three-point range (56%) to take control and pull away to the victory.

Isaiah Geathers led the offense for Lehman with 29 points and six rebounds, while teammate
Gian Batista added a 'double-double' with 19 points and 10 assists along with six boards.
The Lightning continue their road trip as they travel to Portland, Maine on Friday to take on Regis College at 7 pm ET in the opener of the University of Southern Maine Tip-Off Tournament.
