Bronx, N.Y. – Both Lehman College basketball teams will hosts non-conference opponents on Tuesday at The APEX Main Gym, for this first time since early 2020, as the men's side take on Mitchell College at 4:45 pm ET, while the women's squad face U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) at 7 pm ET.

The Lightning men (6-1) are coming off a 75-57 road victory against non-conference side Sarah Lawrence College at Bronxville's Campbell Sports Center last Saturday (December 11^th).  Isaiah Geathers led Lehman's offense with 30 points, 16 rebounds and three blocked shots, while Gian Batista added 17 points along with five assists.
 
Meanwhile, the Mitchell Mariners (3-6) dropped an 83-62 non-conference encounter against visiting Connecticut College at Yarnall Athletic Center over the weekend.
 
The last time Lehman-Mitchell faced off was at the opening game of 21st Annual UMass Dartmouth Lafrance Hospitality Tournament with the Mariners posting a 91-82 triumph on November 16, 2018.  Geathers had 12 points with 10 boards for the Lightning.
 
The twin-bill nightcap at The APEX Gym will feature, the Lehman women (1-5) against USMMA (7-1).
 
The Lightning are coming off a 60-50 loss to non-conference opponent and hosts St. Mary's College-Md. at Michael P. O'Brien Athletics & Recreation Center Arena last Saturday (Dec. 11^th).  Mojisola Shopkeye had 13 points with six assists for Lehman, while Brianna Barnes added a 'double-double' scoring 10 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.
 
Meanwhile USMMA posted a 73-40 Skyline Conference victory against hosts Yeshiva University over the weekend.
 
This will be the first meeting between Lehman-USMMA.
