Bronx, N.Y. – Two Lehman College athletic teams will be in action Wednesday at 7 pm ET as the men's volleyball side travel for a non-conference match-up at Sarah Lawrence College, while the women's basketball squad concludes its regular season with a CUNYAC encounter at home against Hunter College.
The Lightning volleyballers (2-1) are looking for their third consecutive victory of the season, for first time since 2018, when they take on the Gryphons (0-3) at the Bronxville's Campbell Sports Center.
Lehman is coming off a three-set non-conference victory (25-13, 26-24, 25-14) against visiting Pratt Institute last week in its home opener at The APEX Main Gym.
Miguel Gonzalez had 17 kills, while
Juan Lemus added 12 digs for the Lightning.
Christian Agudo dished out 22 assists with six digs and five serves aces in the victory.
Meanwhile, Sarah Lawrence dropped a non-conference match-up at Brooklyn College in three straight sets (25-13, 25-18, 25-22).
Lehman has won seven consecutive matches against Sarah Lawrence since 2014. In the previous encounter, the Lightning took all three sets (25-11, 25-22, 25-12) over the visiting Gryphons on February 11, 2020.
Also, on Tuesday, the conference playoff bound Lehman hoopsters (3-15; 2-9 CUNYAC) will play its regular season finale against the Hunter Hawks (8-13; 5-6 CUNYAC) at The APEX. Fans can follow all the action via

The Lightning are coming off a 55-45 conference loss at home to York College-NY over the weekend. Mojsola Shokeye led the way for Lehman with 17 points and eight rebounds, while
Kahdija Jabbi had 10 points and seven boards.
Meanwhile, the Hawks posted a 57-40 conference win at CCNY on Tuesday evening.
The Lightning hold a slim 17-15 edge in the head-to-head meetings against the Hawks since 2008, however Hunter has won six of the last seven encounters. The previous match-up between the two sides took place two weeks ago (February 7
th) at the Huntersportsplex with the hosts winning 70-48.
Brianna Barnes led the Lehman offense with 15 points, 12 rebounds and six steals.
