Bronx, N.Y. – Both Lehman College basketball teams along with men's volleyball side will be in action this Saturday.
The Lightning volleyballers (0-0) will officially commence their season on Saturday as they travel to Patchogue, N.Y. for a non-conference tri-match against hosts St. Joseph's College-LI (4-1) at 10 amt ET and then face off with Pratt Institute (0-0) at noon. Lehman is taking on St. Joseph's-LI for the third time since 2018 with Golden Eagles winning both encounters in three sets. Meanwhile, the Lightning, face off with Pratt for the first time on Saturday.
Also on Saturday, at The APEX Main Gym, the Lightning women's basketball (3-10; 2-4 CUNYAC) will greet conference rival Brooklyn College (14-2; 8-0 CUNYAC) with tip-off set for noon. Fans can follow all the women's basketball action via

The Lightning are coming off a 67-40 non-conference loss at FDU-Florham this past Wednesday.
Mojisola Shokeye led the way for Lehman with a 'double-double' as she scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn Bulldogs won their eight consecutive game last Tuesday after defeating visiting John Jay College, 69-52, in a CUNYAC match-up.
Brooklyn has a 19-8 head-to-head record against Lehman since 2008. In their last encounter, the Bulldogs won their eighth consecutive game against the Lightning after posting a 94-41 triumph on December 3, 2021, at Brooklyn's West Quad Gymnasium.

The Lightning are coming off their fourth consecutive game, and 13 out of their last 14, after topping Pratt, 59-44, in a non-conference affair at The APEX this past Wednesday. Both
Isaiah Geathers and
Gian Batista posted 'double doubles' for Lehman with Geathers scored a team high 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Batista netted 10 points and had 12 boards.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs dropped a CUNYAC encounter at home to John Jay Bloodhounds, 69-66, this past Tuesday.
The Lightning hold a slim 13-12 edge in the head-to-head meetings against the Bulldogs since 2007. In the previous match-up held on Dec. 3, 2021, Lehman won its four consecutive game over Brooklyn as it defeated the hosts 82-76 at West Quad Gymnasium.
