Bronx, N.Y. – For a second consecutive year the Lehman College men's basketball team will compete for the 2022-23 CUNYAC Title as it takes on the defending champion Baruch College in the finals at CCNY's Nat Holman Gymnasium on Friday with tip-off set for 8:30 pm ET; as the winner will also earn the conference's automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Friday's match-up is also rematch from last year's 75-69 overtime loss suffered by the Lightning at the same venue.
Lehman (18-8), which finished second in the conference regular season standings, advanced to the postseason championship game after eliminating CCNY, 85-70, in the semifinals on Tuesday at The APEX Main Gym. CUNYAC Player of the Year and forward
Isaiah Geathers led the Lightning offense with 26 points, while guard and conference all-star
Will Feldman added 19 points.
Meanwhile, the regular season champion Baruch Bearcats (21-5) secured its spot into the CUNYAC Finals after topping visiting Hunter College, 96-88, on Tuesday at the Arc Arena.
Baruch holds a 23-19 edge in the head-to-head meetings against Lehman since 2003, which includes five of the last seven encounters. The two sides split the series this season with each winning in its home court as the Lightning won 69-56 on January 18
th, while the Bearcats were victorious 68-63 on February 10
th.
