Box Score New York, N.Y. - The Lehman College men's basketball team claimed its fifth overall CUNYAC Championship after defeating CCNY, 101-56, in the final held on Thursday evening at the Hunter College Sportsplex. The Lightning improved to a 21-6 ledger as it also secured its first NCAA Division III Tournament bid since 2004.
Lehman was led by conference tournament Most Valuable Player
Ricardo Dixon who had a 'double-double' scoring 25 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in the largest margin of victory in a CUNYAC Men's Championship Final. The 101 points was also the most scored by a team in the conference final since 1993.
The Lightning led 19-13 at the 11:32 mark in the first half, then following a CCNY (8-20) timeout, the CUNYAC Regular Season Champion went on a 32 to 12 run to take a 21-point advantage by shooting 46 percent from the field.
In the second stanza, Lehman continued its domination outscoring CCNY, 50 to 26 for its 16th victory in the last 18 head-to-head meetings.

Kofi Mends notched 23 points for the Lightning in the final, while forward
Amar Ndiaye also registered a 'double-double' (19 points, 19 rebounds) along with six blocks, while teammate
Manny Barkor added 10 points.
Lehman will now await next week's NCAA Division III Tournament selection process to see its future opponent.
