Alain Dela Cruz also helped with eight points and five rebounds on the evening. Following the loss, head coach Steven Schulman gave his thoughts.

Hunter College is a very disciplined team with many talented players, so we knew coming in that this was going to be a very difficult game for us, and it was,” Schulman said. “We don't have much time to dwell on this loss though because we have a very tough Gothic Knight team coming in here on Monday so we'll try to regroup and get ready for them.”

The Lightning will return to action Monday evening as Lehman College will welcome the New Jersey City University Gothic Knights to the APEX Center for a non-conference contest, with game-time slated for 8:00pm.
