With the Lightning trailing 6-4 in the bottom of the fifth inning, Lehman would take the lead when Miguel Sanchez would hit a three-run homerun to centerfield, giving his team a 7-6 lead. It would be all Baruch from there, though, as the Bearcats played two runs in the sixth, five more in the seventh, an additional run in the eighth, and two more in the ninth to account for the nine-run victory.

Thomas Daly homered and finished the game 2-for-6 with a walk, two runs scored, and an RBI, and John Avona reached base five times – singling twice, walking once, and getting hit by a pitch twice. He also scored three runs and drove in one.
